San Francisco news reports that 10 people have suffered personal injuries as the result of a crash that occurred at a Muni bus stop in Chinatown. According to reports, the driver of the car, a female, was traveling on Stockton Street when she lost control of her vehicle. The car first hit a parked car, then hit another car that was moving, then crashed into the Muni stop. Several people sustained personal injuries ranging from mild to severe, such as broken bones, and head, neck and back injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
Several questions remain. For example –what caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle? Did distracted driving or other reckless conduct play a role? What about her car – was it in proper working order? Were there any faulty or defective parts? Did the brakes and tires work as needed? Additionally, were there any obstacle in the road that may have led to the accident?
Whenever an accident occurs, it is important to conduct a thorough investigation into all potential factors that may have caused or contributed to the dangerous environment.
